The Worshipful Company of Glovers have supported Thames Hospice for the past three years by donating funds towards Lymphoedema Gloves which assist in the relief of Lymphoedema symptoms. The staff and volunteers of Thames Hospice moved from their former Windsor building into their state-of-the-art facility in Maidenhead on 12th October 2020.
On the 27th September 2021, the Master Richard Morris and Mistress Vanessa Morris, CPC Chairman Maggie Manwaring and Simon Manwaring, were invited to visit for a tour the new Hospice.
Jane Symmons, Head of Major Gifts, and Lymphoedema Nurse, Jeanette welcomed them. This low-rise modern building and gardens with panoramic views across Bray Lake, has been built with great care to cater for the needs of patients, their friends and families.
The Master was delighted to present to Jeanette, a cheque from The Master’s Discretionary Fund in aid of more Lymphoedema Gloves.
